I was so anxious and excited to sleep and so I ended up not sleeping at all hehehe. I took a bath and was already dressed up when my alarm clock sounded exactly 8am. I went downstairs and put on some last minute red ribbons to all of our luggages for identification. Everyone here at home was busy going to and fro their rooms, apparently still putting on some last minute things inside their luggages..jeez.
Super Shuttle, a bus service, arrived around 1:30pm and took us to the Tom Bradley International Airport(LAX). The check in counter didn't open till 4pm, so we waited at least an hour and a half in line for our turn. After our luggages were checked in, we went up to the 2nd floor where the food court was at and grabbed something to eat. Philippine Airlines boarded at 8:30pm but the airplaine didn't took off till around 10:50pm. We didn't do much after that, but sleep our ass off. We were all pretty exhausted from the packing galore and excitement.
We touched down Guam around 3am because the airplane needed to refuel. It took about 45minutes till the seat belt sign went on again. We finally reached the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Manila, Phils) at 5:20am. It took us a while transferring our luggages from international to domestic because you know how those airline staffs are, they wanted you to give them some money or pabuya to insure that your luggages will really be well taken cared of, as we call those stupid people in Tagalog, mandurugas. No wonder hindi pa rin umaasenso ang Pilipinas. Anyway, after we transferred to the domestic area we had breakfast. Since I had some Philippine money left from 5 years ago hehe, I paid for our food. At 9am we went to Duty Free Fiesta mall to buy additional pasalubongs.
We arrived in Iloilo Airport at around 4:30pm. My bestfriend, Tin2, texted me this morning that she and our gurlfriends, Lessu and Emoi are going to meet me up at the airport but due to traffic and miscommunication of ETA, she and Emoi decided to go directly to my house instead. While Lessu, since her workplace was near the airport, she was there when I arrived. We hugged and beso-beso each other. I'm sooo happy to see her. We giggled and chatted for a while then told her that I will text her later coz my aunt, who picked us up at the airport, was rather in a hurry to go because there were a lot of annoying non-porters surrounding and bugging us already.
Tin2 and Emoi arrived our house 30minutes after we got home. Sympre chicka to the max na naman ang mga lola. Hayyy....it only gets better and better already :-)
