REALLY?! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!

"Moi, I'm engaged."

I swear, if I hear another friend of mine say this to me, I'd probably go crazy! (the good crazy kind) I don't know where I've been to this year, but I somehow find it very revealing how some of my friends got themselves engaged already. Is this really happening? Am I really on that certain age where these kinds of news would just supposedly come on to me smoothly? DAMN! I am old.

Engagement is a mutual promise to marry. (hyperdictionary.com)

To think here I am still dreaming about fairytale endings and my prince charming...who by the way hasn't swept off my feet yet! What a bummer huh, I'm just laughing at myself right now because I'm such an oddball. I mean no offense or anything, being engaged is a wonderful thing and yes, when I say "I'm so happy for you" I am really happy for you no doubt!

"Enjoy this year because the next year, it's downfall from there"

I remembered my cousin told me this when she greeted me on my 24th birthday this year. I just laughed and hugged her for the advice! I wasn't really understanding the "downfall" part of it but I guess I'm kinda getting the idea that being in the mid-20's, the young adult will eventually loose the young, and assume adult responsibilities. I wouldn't even go on rambling about this because I still have a year more to go hahaha. Silly me!

So yeah that's it, I just wanted to air out my goosebumps about engagements and future marriages because I feel that I haven't accomplished anything worthwhile yet and here they are, being engaged and all...it just makes me think that I'm way behind? I don't know how they do it. I guess I still have a long way to go!

Probably I'd go find myself a boyfriend first. hahaha, oh please!
